Harnessing power: The constantly increasing size of wind turbines has resulted not only in greater turbine performance but also in an increase in the stress exerted on the individual turbine components. These days, the cast rotor hubs and adapters are exposed to incredible stress once the blades of these, the world‘s largest wind turbines start to turn (rotor diameter over 120 meters).

We know how to meet such challenges, as we have been around for some time! At the beginning of the wind energy boom in Germany, we began producing castings for wind turbines based on intense and detailed discussions with our customers. We constantly seek to ensure that our products are state-of-the-art and capable of dealing with new demands.

We maintain our high standards through consistent process control and by continuously narrowing the scatter bands for job preparation, solidification simulation and cast part post-processing. All process steps, raw materials and end products are subject to constant monitoring.

We are among the leading foundries worldwide as manufacturers of hand-mould, large and heavy castings with weights of up to 65 tons for tool engineering and plastic and injection moulding. We aim to consolidate this position through greater investment.

The DIHAG Group is also arming itself for the offshore wind energy and heavy machine tool markets of the future. The basic conditions are ideal. As part of the DIHAG Group, we have been able to take advantage of synergetic effects as regards investment planning, materials procurement and market processing. In addition, the entire product range of the DIHAG Group is available to the customer.

Our greatest asset is the expertise and experience of our employees. They provide support to our customers from the first draft of a new component through the design consultancy and material selection phases and from the creation of the model to just-in-time delivery. Development and production times, and consequently lead times, are significantly reduced due to this high level of customer contact. It also enables us to provide the most effective technical solutions while optimising costs.
